Chapter Five

Salvatore

AFTER LISTENING TO Bianca’s story and then seeing her withdraw into herself at the restaurant, I know we have nothing to worry about where she’s concerned. Bianca won’t go to the cops about what she witnessed in Mr. Williams's office. She wants nothing more than to forget it ever happened in the first place. I don’t blame her at all. It’s also a reason I know nothing will ever work out between the two of us. She won’t be able to handle the life I live and the decisions I have to make in order to keep the family safe and whole.

Once I dropped her off at the motel, I made my way back to Rossi’s to have a conversation with Mia and Dom. I want to get their take on the entire situation with her. Make sure I’m not thinking with my cock and trying to see something that’s not there. Dom and Mia will give it to me straight.

Ever since I first laid eyes on Bianca in the flesh, I can’t get her out of my head. I want to make her happy, chase away her demons, and spend the rest of my life getting to know her. Hell, I want her under me, over me, and anything else she’ll let me do to her delectable body. Not the thoughts I need to be having about a witness to a fucking hit our crew did.

Dom and Mia are still sitting at the table where I left them. They look up as I sit back down and wait for them to question me about Bianca. It doesn’t take long for Dom to put his two cents in.

“What are you doin’ Sal?” he asks.

“I’m not doin’ anythin’. I got Bianca in with Anderson and she has to eat. Especially after what I found out about today,” I answer him.

“What do you mean?” Mia asks.

“Listen, it’s not my story to tell. Let’s just say Bianca isn’t a cop caller. She’s suffered more pain and torment over the last few years than anyone I’ve ever known in my life. Not once did she call the cops. Documented everything herself and handed it over to the man. I was there with her so I know what she’s been through. Bianca needs somethin’ good in her life and someone she can confide in,” I tell them.

“What are you wanting to happen here?” Mia asks.

“I want you to invite her out for a girls' day. Take her shoppin’ or whatever it is you do,” I tell her.

“I can do that. You got a number for her?” Mia asks, pulling her phone out.

“Yeah.”

I hand over my phone once I’ve pulled up Bianca’s information. Yeah, I made her give it to me the other night after I found her door open. She needs to have someone to call in case of an emergency and I want to be the one there to help her. I sent her a message just after taking her number so she would have mine as well.
